Michelle Malkin has a post up that highlights some of the hypocracy surrounding Freedom of Speech.
FIRE has come to the corner of a conservative campus paper, The Primary Source, over heat it's taking from Tufts University's Comittee on Student Life (which they obviously don't have) over two satirical articles published by the Source deemed intimidating to black & muslim students (I know, I know).
The Comittee of Student (with no) Life issued a decision against TPS, which stated:
"Freedom of Speech should not be an unfettered license to
violate the rights of other members of the community, without
recourse."
As usual, the conservative gets strung up for 'satire', whilst scrubs like Opie & Anthony are blindly defended for their 'entertainment'.
Incidentally, the so-called 'satirical' (read: factual here) piece that allegedly 'intimidated' and 'harassed' muslims (I know) is a simple one-page flyer highlighting historical atrocities carried out by Islamic regimes. That it's considered satire can only be attributed to the timing of it's release.
Props to M/M & FIRE for keeping daylight on the greazy moonbats in academia.
